THIRD INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS OF GERONTOLOGY
THE XXIV AIUTA CONGRESS
15 al 17 de November 2010, San José. Costa Rica.
Presentation
Growth in the ageing population in this century calls for reflection on the part of professionals and others working in the field of gerontology who aim to promote an individual process of ageing which contributes to a life of richness, development and quality. The congress organisers are committed to the growth of this academic field and the provision of opportunities to consider the realities of social life in a logical and tangible way, focussing on issues in the social, psychological and educational domains, including, among others, Sustainable Development and Ecology.
AIUTA , with the support of a network of universities across the world, aims to establish an international framework for lifelong learning and research by, with and for older people. Thus, the interest of the University of Costa Rica in facilitating the transfer of knowledge in the field of gerontology and the aims of AIUTA coincide in this joint congress.
